Dirty furniture sales tricks and techniques used by furniture stores.

Before I started on dirty furniture sales tricks and techniques I want you to know that not all furniture stores use this tactics and I know the most retailers good and honest people.

But unfortunately not the all retailers are always honest. I will try to explain how to recognize furniture scammers and stay away from these stores.

If you come in store and you fill like furniture store or sales person try to play game with you, don’t waste you time and just walk away. It will always be another store and they will glad to learn your business in the honest way.

Lets start from some old tricks of the store will try to accomplish to make you buy and pay more money.

1. Trap and change.

This trick was around for many, many years. The furniture item will be advertise for very low price, some time even way below cost and only for one reason to get you in furniture store. When you come to the store you will hear all kind of story like item is sold out or just damaged and discontinued and no inventory left or it is really poor quality and they not recommend you to buy. Furniture store will offered to buy some sing ales, maybe for little more money. The store done they part to bring you over, now it is your turn to turn around, and walk away.

2. Low price quote.

You are searching around for best price on specific furniture item. After you call to the furniture stores and receive very low price quote in one of them. Your next step you are coming to the store, but price quote is simply mistake. Salesperson will even apologies for mistake in quote and give you right furniture sale price. If new price is much higher don’t even try to negotiate. Just bring your business to honest store.

3. Delay, delay, delay…

This oldest trick used car dialers, but looks like it used now awry ware and furniture stores. Salesperson asks you to wait in office while he goes to work on your best furniture sales deal with manger or owner and will leave you for extended period of time.

The main idea is to give you less time to shop around and wear you down. After all time you spend you will fill guilty to not to buy from this nice salesperson. It is just regular scam. Don’t wait more the 5 minutes. Your time and honest business is more important, get up and walk away.

4. Fear of loss

This furniture sales technique is used quiet often. Salesperson will be say to you all kind of sings like: it is last item, somebody alls interesting to buy this item or manufactures will raze price on this item. All what furniture store (salesperson) is trying to do to scar you and make you to buy today. Be skeptical and buy furniture when you ready and not when push by somebody ales.
